Learning Designer at Rumie

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant: CS 151 Intro to Computational Problem Solving

- Run weekly drop-in hours to help students practice algorithmic thinking and critical thinking by understanding the flow of algorithms in their program, identifying bugs, and finding solutions

- Mentored 5 first-year/sophomore students in the course to plan for their future semesters, how to study computer science, and prepare for internships.

Jan - May 2024

Education Volunteer at Alfred Zanetti Elementary School

- Observe how technology is being taught and incorporated in elementary classes. 

- Guide students in solving tech-related problems and struggles by explaining solutions in smaller and more detailed steps.

- Designed an in-class activity for 4th-grade students about computational thinking by letting them create pseudocode and edit Python code to make a user-interactive quiz about a solar eclipse.

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant: CS 131 Data Visualization

- Identified the aspect of the project that students want feedback from and shared feedback about their course projects.


- Guided students to find efficient resources and information related to their course-related struggles and problems.

May - July 2023

SAT Math Teacher at Lighthouse International School

- Designed a demo online SAT using Google Forms to assist students in training digital literacy and adjusting themselves to the new SAT platform.


- Provided effective feedback for each student by visualizing the gradual change in their test scores and documenting the test-taking habits of each student and the analysis of the types of questions they missed.

- Fostered students' active engagement in their learning process by providing a space for students to explain the steps of problem-solving for test questions to their classmates.

ESL teacher at BeOne English Academy

- Taught 65 elementary students (7 students per class on average) in Grades 1 through 6 elementary school students to: familiarize correlating the sounds and shapes of the Alphabet and combine the letters to read, understand, and create words and sentences.


- Guided students to enhance problem-solving skills by asking rhetorical questions that lead to the right answer.

Sept 2022 - May 2023

Undergraduate Tutor: First-Year Korean, Second-Year Korean

- Tutored 6 students at Mount Holyoke College to help them understand the differences between the grammatical structure and culture embedded in Korean and English.

Curriculum Development Assistant at BeOne English Academy

- Contributed to designing a grammar workbook by selecting sentences from English books, dividing each sentence into clauses, and translating each clause into Korean using Excel. 

Jan 2019 - Jun 2022

Founder & President of Educational Volunteering Club 'Vol.7'

- Hosted monthly English classes for local elementary students in Paju by selecting a monthly theme and designing interactive activities to teach students how to read, write, or speak in English.

- Tutored a child of a North Korean Refugee by creating a course syllabus, designing activities and worksheets to teach Phonics, and weekly sharing the learning progress of the student with her parent.
